      TITLE: Academic Summer School Teacher Assistant Positions (Two Positions)

      DATE: July 2021 - August 2021

      STIPEND:                 Pay rate as per LAMA contract 

      REPORTS TO: Summer School Principal

 QUALIFICATIONS:  The  Teacher assistant should possess the following characteristics:

1. Holds a New York State Teacher Assistant certificate.
2. Develops positive relationships with students; listens to, cares for, and works collaboratively with them.
3. Demonstrates the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of students, teachers, parents/guardians, and administrators in a confidential manner.
4. Integrates technology into planning, learning, and record-keeping activities.
5. Ability to collaborate with teachers and families to support student achievement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

1. Support with supervision of students.
2. Communicate with the principal, colleagues, students and families to support student achievement.
3. Collaborate with peers to enhance instructional practices.
4. Utilize instructional technology during daily lessons.
5. Develop and maintain an effective instructional environment conducive to students’ social, emotional, and academic needs.
6. Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the program administrator.
