TITLE: Summer School Principal
DATE: July 2025 - August 2025
STIPEND: $ 8,000.00
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Schools
QUALIFICATIONS: The principal candidate should possess the following characteristics:
- Holds a New York State SBL/SDL certification.
- Strong understanding of the PLC, MTSS and SAMR frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Experience with data analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to support student achievement.
- Strong understanding of instructional technology.
- Previous summer school experience preferred.
- LAA members have first preference, however LFA members with certification will be considered
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The Summer School Principal at Liberty Central School will provide the following services:
- Recruit, screen, hire, and assign all personnel for the LCSD Summer School program.
- Assign classrooms and offices in collaboration with the Director of Facilities and Liberty building administrators.
- Collaborate with the Director of IT to ensure all students and staff have access to instructional technology.
- Supervise the LCSD High School and Middle School Summer School program.
- Support the LCSD ESY program and Summer Enrichment program.
- Lead teachers and staff by implementing a blended-personalized learning model.
- Collaborate with the Director of Student Services regarding the organization and implementation of the Extended School Year program.
- Address disciplinary issues for both the Summer School and Extended School Year Programs.
- Organize and facilitate the administration of the New York State August Regents Examinations.
- Organize and facilitate Summer School and Extended School Year PLCs.
- Implement a MTSS structure to support student achievement.
- Present programmatic data to district stakeholders and at Board of Education meetings.
