      TITLE: Summer School Principal

 

      DATE: July 2025 - August 2025

 

      STIPEND:             $ 8,000.00

 

      REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Schools

 

 QUALIFICATIONS:  The principal candidate should possess the following characteristics:

  1. Holds a New York State SBL/SDL certification.
  2. Strong understanding of the PLC, MTSS and SAMR frameworks.
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent organizational skills.
  5. Experience with data analysis.
  6. Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to support student achievement.
  7. Strong understanding of instructional technology.
  8. Previous summer school experience preferred.
  9. LAA members have first preference, however LFA members with certification will be considered

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Summer School Principal at Liberty Central School will provide the following services:

  1. Recruit, screen, hire, and assign all personnel for the LCSD Summer School program.
  2. Assign classrooms and offices in collaboration with the Director of Facilities and Liberty building administrators.
  3. Collaborate with the Director of IT to ensure all students and staff have access to instructional technology.
  4. Supervise the LCSD High School and Middle School Summer School program.
  5. Support the LCSD ESY program and Summer Enrichment program. 
  6. Lead teachers and staff by implementing a blended-personalized learning model.
  7. Collaborate with the Director of Student Services regarding the organization and implementation of the  Extended School Year program.
  8. Address disciplinary issues for both the Summer School and Extended School Year Programs.
  9. Organize and facilitate the administration of the New York State August Regents Examinations. 
  10. Organize and facilitate Summer School and Extended School Year PLCs.
  11. Implement a MTSS structure to support student achievement.
  12. Present programmatic data to district stakeholders and at Board of Education meetings.
